Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

West Lebanon, Ind. (CNS) – Mrs. Bertha Keffer, 83, of West Lebanon, died at 7:30 am Monday (Jan. 31, 1972) at the Edgewood View Nursing Home in Oxford. She had been a patient there since Jan. 11 and had been ill five years. Born in West Lebanon Nov. 5, 1889, she was the daughter of Napoleon and Sarah Raines Cating. She was married in 1910 at Danville, Ill., to Donn Keffer, who died in 1939. A life resident of West Lebanon, she was a graduate of West Lebanon High and was assistant librarian at the West Lebanon Library for several years. She had been employed at the Radio Materials Corp. in Attica for two years and had done upholstering for several years. She was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church and the Pike Home Economics Club, both of West Lebanon, and was a charter member of the Warren Country Chorus. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Grace Crosher of West Lebanon; and a sister, Mrs. Freda Zufall of Indianapolis. Services will be at 2 pm EST Wednesday at the Fisher Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Kesler officiating. Burial will be in West Lebanon Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 5 pm Tuesday.
